Fred Taylor is now a free agent. If it was college football season, he’d have the extra time to watch his alma mater Florida dominate – not so sure that he’ll have much to see with the Gators as far as March Madness betting goes.

Taylor is an 11-year veteran who has run for more than 10,000 yards. More importantly, according to sportsbook odds, nobody ever thought he would be this good.

As you might recall, Taylor was tabbed as injury prone and sportsbook odds had to be adjusted regularly for Jaguar games depending on if Taylor was healthy or not. Taylor played in just 40 out of a potential 64 games to start his career (first four seasons). But Taylor has been healthy for 100 out of his last 112 games, and he has shedded that “injury-prone” label.

Kickback, enjoy the college basketball lines and the World Baseball Classic odds for now, but not to worry, someone will sign him.

What boggles my mind is that he offered to take a pay cut but the Jags wouldn’t let him. Some sportsbook insiders believe that there was some behind the scenes problems.
