Put March Madness betting aside for a second and think about NFL betting: how good would it be to have Jay Cutler throwing the ball to Calvin Johnson?

March Madness betting fans who also follow the NFL may not have noticed, but Broncos stud quarterback, Jay Cutler, has requested a trade. He’s not showing up for voluntary workouts and he’s selling his house.

Yikes. Sportsbook odds are up on some of the teams where Cutler may land next year:

Denver is an option but right now the two favorites are the Detroit Lions, who have the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have the most cap space in NFL history.

NFL betting fans should expect a trade to the NFL, which is far away from anyone the Broncos will have to play. But NFL betting fans should also notice at the quarterbacks that will be left in the NFC West.

Sportsbook oddsmakers likely won’t have anyone favored over San Diego in any game next year (among NFC West contests) because of that reason.

The Chargers have Philip Rivers, the Broncos (as of now) will have Chris Simms, the Chiefs will have Matt Cassel and the Raiders will have JaMarcus Russell.

NFL betting fans should have a field day betting on San Diego, asssuming they are healthy again. The sportsbook odds on them dipped this year as they battled injuries and started the season 4-8, but now with a healthy squad and the best QB in the division, they’ll easily be the Champs.

Sportsbook betting pick: My prediction is that Cutler ends up with the Detroit Lions and changes their franchise. It will be a trade that the Broncos – and Josh McDaniels – will forever regret.
