If I could place and online bet right now on whether Favre will play in 2009 or not, I would bet on ‘yes’.

Favre visited with Dr. James Andrews – the chief NFL medical expert – and we all know what that means. If he was staying retired, he wouldn’t have to do it. Since he’s not, he’s looking for ways to recover from his biceps injury.

It’s too early to care about the NFL season right now, especially with French Open betting and Indy 500 odds up on the board. Even so, it looks like Favre will be wearing purple and playing this season.

One team that isn’t paying attention is the Buffalo Bills. Good work, guys. You trade your Pro Bowl left tackle, release Derrick Dockery, and don’t draft a tackle in a tackle-rich draft.

NFL betting fans have to be wondering how the Bills plan to protect their young quarterback, Trent Edwards, without a left tackle.  And if Edwards can’t get Terrell Owens the ball…sounds like a combustable situation.

A lot of NFL owners part take in the Kentucky Derby odds as many of them have some sort of investment in the tracks but one team that might want to buy into a horse of a different kind is the Cleveland Browns.

Maybe the Cincinnati Bengas are more focused on the Kentucky Derby odds than NFL betting than they are on diffusing in-house drama, but they should really start paying attention.

Chad Johnson is a team cancer and wants to be traded. TRADE THE GUY ALREADY!

Today, NFL betting fans heard head coach Marvin Lewis reiterate that his team is not moving Ocho Cinco – for what purpose? Johnson mailed it in last season, why would the Bengals even want to keep him and his hefty price tag.

NFL betting fans understand that Ocho Cinco is a star, but he’s no longer a star in Cincinnati. Trade him, get what you can and move on.

Maybe the Buffalo Bills are more focused on the Kentucky Derby odds than NFL betting – or running an NFL franchise for that matter. They just traded away Jason Peters, who is a two-time Pro Bowl left tackle for a first-round pick.

The Philadelphia Eagles were drafting 28th overall, which means the pick isn’t even that high.

NFL betting fans know that Pro Bowl left tackles don’t grow on trees and although Peters had a so-so year in Buffalo because he was unmotivated, the Eagles could have just traded a low first-round pick for the best left tackle in football.

Now the Bills head into next season with a young quarterback who hasn’t proven a lot yet and an offensive line that just took a big hit. Actually, the Bills lost Derrick Dockery and Peters in the offseason,which doesn’t leave them with much. The sportsbook odds won’t show a lot of faith in the Bills.
